PETALING JAYA, Malaysia -- With tomorrow's KL SEA Games semifinal football clash between traditional rivals Malaysia and Indonesia expected to generate 'much heat', the coaches urge fans to show the sporting spirit.
Malaysia's coach Ong Kim Swee said without fans, football matches would not mean much but it was incumbent upon them to contain their emotions.
"Everyone is looking forward to an exciting clash, set aside any differences and enjoy the match," he told the pre-match press conference here today.
Indonesia's coach Bima Sakti shared his views saying football was a good platform to bring the people of the two countries closer.
"Tomorrow it is just another match and we will compete in the spirit of sports. I hope Indonesian fans will also be sporting as well and show we are good neighbours," he said.
The Malaysia-Indonesia semi-fnal match will kick off at the Shah Alam Stadium at 8.45pm while the other tie between Thailand and Myanmar will take place at the Selayang Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
