Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Metro Jaya Police Departments investigators have questioned 10 witnesses over the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) buildings mezzanine floor incident in which 73 people were hurt.
"The investigators have questioned witnesses from all quarters, including college students, securities, and employees," Metro Jaya Police Departments spokesman Senior Commissioner Argo Yuwono noted here on Tuesday.
Some 73 visitors and employees were injured when IDXs mezzanine floor of Tower II collapsed on Monday at around 11:55 a.m. local time.
Yuwono revealed that the department will question some other witnesses who saw the mezzanine floor collapse.
The investigation is co-chaired by Deputy of General Criminal Investigation Adjunct Senior Commissioner Ade Ary and Head of the Ballistic Metallurgy Forensic Laboratory Senior Commissioner Ulung, and they have conducted a crime scene investigation.
Currently, the Metro Jaya Police Departments spokesman said 12 victims had been discharged and 61 people were still hospitalized.
Earlier, IDXs President Director Tito Sulistio had claimed that the trading of shares remained uninterrupted despite the incident occurred.
"The stock trading system of 180 security companies is running normally," Sulistio noted.
