In addition, the Indonesian former presidents daughter also spoke of ways in which she promoted world peace among Muslim circles and the importance of building alliances between various civilizations, cultures, and religions.
"Muslim scholars agree that there is no point in fighting over religion, especially from a theological point of view. Instead, we have to find a common ground across religions," Yenny remarked.
Through the Wahid Foundation that Yenny established, she collaborated with the United Nations to run the Women For Peace Program.
Yenny had also become Indonesias representative in 2017 in establishing a global tolerance and peace council on the island of Malta.
In the formation of the council, Yenny was present on behalf of Indonesia along with representatives of seven other countries, including the United States, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates.
According to Yenny, international interest in inviting her as a speaker at the peace forum was inseparable from her activities with the Nahdlatul Ulama, which is an Islamic organization, with a membership of 80 million.
Yenny is viewed as being capable of working to promote peace at the grassroots level and empower marginalized women.
