Bogor, Kominfo - Ministry of Communication and Information prepares to implement new regulations regarding telecommunications equipment certification. The Directorate of Standardization of Post and Information Technology Equipment, Directorate General of Resources and Equipment of Post and Information Technology held Technical Guidance for electronic services and same day service .
"The government has made significant bureaucratic cuts. For example, the father or mother submitted a request for certification before 11.00 a.m., the certification will come out later that day," said Director of Standardization of Postal Equipment and Informatics Mochamad Hadiyana in his speech when opening Technical Guidance in Bogor, Wednesday (06/02/2019).
Late last year, the Government issued Minister of Communication and Information Regulation Number 7 of 2018 concerning Integrated Licensing Services through Electronic Systems. In connection with telecommunication equipment certification, there is a Minister of Communication and Information Regulation Number 16 of 2018 concerning the Operational Provisions for Certification of Telecommunication Tools and / or Devices.
" With the two ministerial regulations, bureaucratic services are getting better. The enactment of Minister of Communication and Information Technology Regulation Number 16 of 2018 means that the bureaucratic services of the Directorate General of SDPPI are getting better," explained Hadiyana.
Based on the new ministerial regulation regarding the certification of telecommunications equipment, the licensing category has been simplified to only four, namely legal holders of brands, distributors, manufacturers, and fabricators.
"Then there is a simplification (simplification) of regulations related to certification by withdrawing 6 candies, 1 decree, and 2 Perdirjen. Then, there are additional clauses for labeling obligations, QR codes, and warning signs. The regulation also regulates quotation and addition of Recommendation Letter clauses, "he explained.
This technical guidance also discussed several obstacles including label reporting, QR Code and Warning Signs and service adjustments before PM Kominfo Number 7 Year 2018 and PM Kominfo Number 16 Year 2018 were promulgated.
