Army soldier wounded in firefight with criminal group

Jayapura, Papua (ANTARA) - A soldier reportedly sustained bullet wounds during a firefight between the Indonesian Army and an armed criminal group at Yuguru village in Nduga district in Papua province Saturday. Second Private Usman of the Infantry Battalion 755/Yalet was shot on the right side of his waist.

The Chief of the information service of the Cendrawasih Regional Military Command XVII Infantry, Colonel Muhammad Aidi told Antara Saturday night that he had yet to receive an official report of the incident.
