Head of the East Jakarta Region II Education Sub-Department, Putoyo, gauged that the role of parents remains crucial in the successful implementation of face-to-face learning trials at schools to commence on April 7, 2021.
“Hence, we have to look after our parents together. If there is a family member, who is sick, then there is no need to go (to school),” Putoyo remarked after observing the implementation of face-to-face learning trials at SDN Cipinang Melayu 8 here on Wednesday.
Putoyo believes that health protocols have been implemented optimally at schools by providing facilities, including sinks, hand washing, masks, and body temperature monitors.
“Here, isolation and coordination activities with the Community Health Center (Puskesmas) are additionally conducted once a school member is reported to have a high temperature,” Putoyo remarked.
He noted that in region II of East Jakarta, 16 schools had participated in the face-to-face learning trial, comprising eight elementary schools, one junior high school, one high school, and six vocational schools.
“The trial (was conducted) on April 7-21. We will evaluate it, and the results will determine (the learning process) in future,” he pointed out.
