Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand, has confirmed that the Cabinet list is finalized and will be submitted for royal endorsement within this week.
According to Thai News Agency, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) announced on September 15 that the Cabinet list is ready for submission. While Anutin refrained from commenting on individuals’ qualifications, he assured that the list is comprehensive. Following the oath of office, he plans to promptly present his policy to the Council to expedite governmental processes.
Prime Minister Anutin addressed the status of the draft policy statement intended for Parliament, raising the possibility of involving coalition parties in discussions. He mentioned that a draft statement has been prepared, with details from each ministry submitted to coalition parties for review. This step is intended to facilitate amendments and remove potential hurdles, thereby bolstering confidence in the ministers as they assume their roles.
In response to queries about party affiliations, Anutin responded with laughter but did not provide a direct answer. Regarding the Cabinet background check, he mentioned that the process is nearing completion, with the list of names finalized. The only pending task is the completion of background checks, which is essential before submitting the list for royal endorsement.
Anutin elaborated that once the list is submitted to His Majesty, the approval process is in the hands of the monarchy. Upon receiving royal approval, the oath of office will be administered, allowing for the rapid progression of the policy statement to Parliament. A draft policy statement is ready, and once finalized, the Speaker of the House of Representatives can swiftly arrange a meeting date.
Anutin reiterated the completeness and stability of the current cabinet list, underscoring that it is now ready for the next stages of approval and implementation.
