Chamrak: Villagers in Chamrak Subdistrict, Mueang District, Trat Province, are living in fear due to the presence of Cambodian drones flying over their area every night when the skies are clear. The drones, which are believed to be more than ten in number, have been spotted causing concern amongst locals regarding their safety.

According to Thai News Agency, the situation escalated on the evening of September 16, 2025, when villagers remained alert, observing a mysterious drone emerging from behind Ban Chamrak Mountain, close to the Cambodian boxing base. This location is known as a point of encroachment on Thai territory. The drones reportedly take off in groups of two or three, circling around the village and key areas such as Ban Na Kluea School, Ban Tha Luean Police Station, and Ban Koh Ket.

Ms. Jindalak, a resident of Ban Cham Rak, expressed that the continuous presence of drones has instilled fear and panic among the villagers. She implored the government to take action to prevent these drones from flying over their village. Ms. Jindalak confirmed that the drones originate from the Cambodian side, as she has monitored their timing and direction.

She also recounted her experiences from the Battle of Chamrak, where Thailand and Vietnam clashed, describing it as a harrowing memory. The prospect of renewed conflict with Cambodia terrifies her even more. During previous conflicts, villagers evacuated to protect their safety, but some remained to guard their properties. Ms. Jindalak emphasized that if a real battle occurs, the villagers are prepared to evacuate and seek decisive military intervention to end the threat permanently.
