Bangkok: In a special friendly football match held at Thammasat Stadium, the Thai women’s national football team, known as “Chaba Kaew,” secured a 2-0 victory against Nepal.

According to Thai News Agency, the Thai team, which is ranked 47th in the world, faced off against the Nepal women’s national team, ranked 99th. The scoring opened in the 59th minute when Chatchawan Rodthong executed a successful free kick, giving Thailand a 1-0 lead. The team’s advantage was further solidified in the 73rd minute with a goal from Jiraporn Mongkoldee, ensuring a 2-0 win for Chaba Kaew.

Looking ahead, the Chaba Kaew team is set to resume training on June 13. This preparation is in anticipation of the 2026 AFC Women’s Championship qualifiers, scheduled from June 23 to July 5, and the women’s football event at the 2025 SEA Games, which Thailand will host from December 7 to 19.
