Cool Weather and Strong Winds Sweep Across Upper Thailand.

Bangkok: The upper part of Thailand is experiencing cool weather in the morning accompanied by strong winds, with the northern region expected to see temperatures drop by another 1-2 degrees Celsius. According to Thai News Agency, the Meteorological Department has reported some light rain in the northern areas, urging residents to take care of their health amidst the changing weather patterns.

The forecast for the next 24 hours indicates that a high-pressure area or a moderate to strong cold air mass from China will cover the upper part of Thailand and the upper southern region. This will cause the aforementioned areas to continue experiencing cool weather in the morning with strong winds. Light rain is expected in parts of the western northern region, the lower northeastern region, and the eastern region along the coast.

In the southern region, heavy rain is anticipated in some areas due to a monsoon trough across the central southern region into the low-pressure cell at the tip of the Vietnamese peninsula
. Moderate northeasterly winds covering the upper Gulf of Thailand and the upper southern region are expected to bring heavy rain, with potential dangers of flash floods and forest runoff, especially on hillsides near waterways and lowlands. The waves in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea are moderate, with higher waves expected in areas with thunderstorms.

The northern region will experience cool weather in the morning with temperatures dropping by 1-2 degrees Celsius and some light rain, mainly in the western part. The northeastern region will also see cool mornings with strong winds and light rain in the lower part. The central region will have cool weather in the morning with strong winds, while the eastern region will experience similar conditions with light rain along the coast.

For the southern region, the east coast will have thunderstorms in 70% of the area, with heavy rain in parts of Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, and Nakhon Si Thammarat. The west coast will see thunderstorms i
n 60% of the area, with heavy rain in Ranong and Phang Nga provinces. Bangkok and surrounding areas will be partly cloudy with strong winds.
