Bangkok: Dang Pannakorn, the renowned 90s singer, has publicly addressed the postponement of his highly anticipated concert initially scheduled for November 9, 2025. The concert has been rescheduled to February 21, 2026, with plans to realign the event in respect to the Thai people’s mourning period.
According to Thai News Agency, the decision to postpone the concert has sparked a wave of sarcastic remarks from netizens, who speculated that the delay was due to unsold tickets. Comments circulated that the timing was perfect for the postponement, as it provided more opportunities for ticket sales next year.
In response to these speculations, a well-known figure close to Pannakorn took to social media, dismissing the criticisms as unfounded. She emphasized that the decision to postpone was made solely in consideration of the national sentiment, stating, “Thank you for the analysis from the keyboard guru on concert organizing. But I want to say that the postponement of this big concert is for one reason only, and that is the reason that all Thai brothers and sisters are well aware of.”
She further explained that postponing a concert is undesirable for everyone involved, particularly the artists like Pannakorn and sponsors who have already invested significant effort into the nearly finished project. “No one wants it to be postponed, especially sponsors,” she added.
Despite acknowledging that tickets had not completely sold out, she argued that the postponement was not financially motivated. “If we’re talking about profit and loss… it’s true… tickets haven’t sold out yet. But if we’re comparing the continuation and postponement, the continuation is profit, while the postponement is a loss,” she clarified.
Pannakorn’s concert, which was set to be a grand celebration of music with spectacular lights and sounds, aims to capture the essence of the “Golden Age.” The concert’s concept is one of joy and exuberance, and any cutbacks in its execution would necessitate a complete event overhaul. “The concert is about fun and happiness,” she concluded, expressing hope for a successful event next year.
