Jakarta (ANTARA) – Some 130 Dutch investors are tapping the possibility of cooperation with the Indonesian government and business agents to develop sustainable economy and investment.
“We hope to build deeper partnership and a collaboration platform with Indonesia, not only government-to-government (2G) but also business-to-business (B2B),” Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Sigrid Kaag told Antara in Jakarta on Tuesday.
During the visit this time, the Dutch delegation comprised not only businessmen but also representatives of universities, scientific institutes, and companies already investing in Indonesia, she pointed out.
Kaag echoed the Netherlands’ interest in cooperating with Indonesia in the fields of sustainable development, agriculture, food production, water management, inclusive development, and other relevant sectors.
“It is really in all fields including, as you know, smart solutions for a sustainable future. These all are related to sustainable inclusive development and all business contracts and potential memoranda of understanding will move around the themes,” she explained.

To this end, Indonesia is looking for companies capable of making changes and shifts, she stated.
“Hence, the combination of knowledge, idea, and investment is expected to be confirmed this week for several business opportunities in future that will benefit not only Indonesia but the Netherlands as well,” she stated.
Kaag called on the Dutch business delegation to take investment decisions based on sustainable development.
“We must think of sustainability to act and invest as this is the only way to think the good for mankind and the planet,” she remarked.
Indonesia and Dutch have established longstanding economic cooperation through trade and investment. The Dutch business delegation aims to forge economic cooperation and find opportunities to create a new economy.
