Bangkok: Eliud Kipchoge, the renowned marathoner and two-time Olympic champion from Kenya, posted a heartfelt message on his personal Facebook page, extending warm birthday wishes to Her Majesty the Queen. The celebrated athlete, known for his record-breaking marathon under two hours, shared his good wishes for the Queen’s birthday on June 3, 2025.

According to Thai News Agency, Kipchoge expressed his honor at having run alongside Her Majesty the Queen during the Amazing Thailand Bangkok 10K Marathon last December. He fondly recalled the memorable experience of passing by numerous significant landmarks in Bangkok with the Queen. In his message, Kipchoge wished Her Majesty a long life, good health, happiness, and joyful celebrations in the years to come.

Serving as the ‘Ambassador of Tourism, Sports and Culture’ of Thailand, Eliud Kipchoge was granted the privilege to run with Her Majesty the Queen during the 7th World Tourism Marathon 2024, titled ‘Amazing Thailand Marathon Bangkok Presented by Toyota 7th.’ This event, held on December 1, 2024, allowed participants to compete for royal trophies from His Majesty the King, Her Majesty the Queen, and Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha. Kipchoge is set to participate in this prestigious competition in Thailand again this year.
