Nakhon Si Thammarat: The bodies of an elderly father and his daughter were discovered in a remote house in the Muang District of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, surrounded by an unusual collection of amulets. The house, located in an overgrown field and accessible only via the Vajiravudh Camp Airport, became the center of a mysterious investigation.
According to Thai News Agency, police from Muang Nakhon Si Thammarat Police Station, along with medical professionals from Maharat Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital and officers from the Pracha Ruam Jai Foundation, arrived at the scene following a report of a foul odor. Inside, they found the bodies of Ms. Kesachada, 57, and her father, Mr. Samroeng, 87. Ms. Kesachada’s body was bloated, indicating she had been dead for 4-6 days, while Mr. Samroeng’s skeletal remains suggested he had been deceased for at least 2-3 months.
Mr. Chakrit Samathi, Mr. Samroeng’s other son, informed the police that Ms. Kesachada had been caring for their bedridden father. He mentioned that s
he had consistently requested financial support for their father’s care and had recently refused family visits. It wasn’t until a relative noticed Ms. Kesachada’s absence and reported the odor that authorities were alerted to the deaths.
Relatives were unable to explain the cause of death but noted Ms. Kesachada’s devotion to sacred objects. The home was filled with Kuman Thong dolls and various amulets, leading officers to speculate about her possible belief in black magic. Initial theories suggest Mr. Samroeng died months ago, with Ms. Kesachada possibly hiding his death due to these beliefs. As for Ms. Kesachada, authorities propose she may have fallen during the rainy season or fainted. Her body has been sent to the Forensic Center of Maharaj Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
