Father of Suspect Seeks Forgiveness from Deceased Rider’s Family

Bangkok: The father of the suspect involved in the incident where a rider was fatally struck has issued a public apology to the family of the deceased. He expressed his regret and asked for forgiveness, acknowledging the pain caused by the incident.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Kamsan, the father of the accused, made a journey with his wife and lawyer to personally seek forgiveness from the family of the deceased. Upon arrival, he directly approached the father and wife of the deceased to express his apologies. He conveyed to the media that the incident was not intentional on his son’s part and that he deeply regrets the loss, recognizing the deceased as a key figure in the family.

Mr. Kamsan shared that he has not yet had contact with his son since the court granted bail, but he believes his son is still in shock and wishes to apologize to the family as well. Discussions regarding compensation have taken place with the deceased’s family, and he has arranged for prayers for the deceased to be chanted over a period of three nights before departing.

The funeral rites for Mr. Ritthisak Prakuptanon, also known as Rit, will include three nights of chanting, culminating in a cremation ceremony scheduled for January 25, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.
