Jakarta, Kominfo - The Government of Indonesia together with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia / KSA) has perfected the initiative to cooperate in digital solutions in both countries. Minister of Communication and Information Rudiantara said the initiative to cooperate in the digital field had been submitted to Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.
"It was delivered at the G20 Summit in Buenos Aires in December last year. And Crown Prince welcomed this initiative," said Rudiantara when giving an opening speech in the Opening of the KSA-Indonesia Digital Collaboration Workshop in Jakarta, Sunday (02/17/2019) .
The workshop was targeted to perfect the achievements of discussions in Bali, last year. Especially in sharpening the scope of the Umroh Experience Digital Platform, developing digital solutions to empower MSMEs related to umrah activities, and creating 1,000 Digital Innovation Programs with the adoption of Indonesia's experience in the Digital 1,000 Start Up Program.
Minister of Communication and Information Rudiantara hopes that the cooperation will work well and benefit both countries. "In the future, it is hoped that this collaboration will work well between the two countries," he said.
The Chairperson of the KSA Delegation who is also the Entrepreneurship Support Director, KSA Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ibrahem Alnasser, said that the cooperation between Indonesia-KSA Digitial Collaborations has been implemented for a long time.
"Since the implementation of the Nexticorn Summit Program in November last year," he said.
He even conveyed the good news of the KSA Cabinet's approval of the MoU on Cooperation between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.
"We convey the good news that the Cabinet of KSA has approved the concept of the MoU of cooperation between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. And we are committed to carrying out this collaboration," he said.
The activity which was directly escorted by Minister of Communication and Information Rudiantara was also attended by Director General of Information Applications, Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan, Special Staff of Minister of Communication and Information in the field of PMO and Digital Economy, Lis Sutjiati and Partner of EY Indonesia Nawal Nelly and Ben Koesmuljana, Convergence Venture Partner, Donald Wihardja and from PwC Roman Neidelka.
The Saudi Arabian delegation is headed by the Entrepreneurship Support Director, KSA Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ibrahem Alnasser. He was accompanied by Digital Partnership Lead, National Digitization Unit (NDU) Nayef al Abdulhadi, Manager of the Corporate Strategic Alliances Department, ELM Company, Moaid Abdulraheem Shuaibi, and Innovation Director, Monsha'at, Abdulmajeed Alomrani.
