Indonesia to hold National Day at 2020 Dubai Expo

Indonesia will showcase its cultural diversity and the nation’s potential through the National Day to be held at the 2020 Dubai Expo, the United Arab Emirates, on November 4.

“Through the National Day celebrations at the Dubai Expo, Indonesia will showcase the wealth and diversity of our resources, culture, and great potential. We will show them our important role in the international arena through the grandest parade that Indonesia has ever held in the Middle East,” Minister of Trade, Muhammad Lutfi, noted in a press statement, quoted on Saturday.

At the 2020 Dubai Expo, each participating country is given the opportunity to showcase its potential in art and cultural performances through National Day.

Indonesia’s National Day will be held at the Al Wasl Plaza, the center of the 2020 Dubai Expo area. With the theme of “Land of Diversity,” Indonesia will put the spotlight on the diversity of cultures. Dozens of dancers will be featured at Indonesia’s National Day. Popular Indonesian singer, Lyodra Ginting, will perform at the event as well.

According to Minister Lutfi, Indonesia is also keen to showcase its best talents through the National Day.

“We also want to showcase the best talents, who represent the nation’s resources, as well as our preparations for a future full of opportunities,” he emphasized.

As in known, Indonesia will enjoy a demographic bonus in 2045, thereby translating to the fact that during that year, most members of the population would belong to the productive age group. To this end, Indonesia is preparing the 2045 Golden Generation to develop qualified human resources that are capable of competing at the global level.

National Day is also an opportunity to draw visitors at the 2020 Dubai Expo to explore the Indonesian Pavilion. Visitors can gain a broader understanding of the country’s specialty in the trade, investment, and tourism sectors.

The Indonesian Pavilion is expected to broaden Indonesia’s opportunities to collaborate with potential strategic partners from various countries, Lutfi affirmed.

The government targets the Indonesian National Day event to be viewed by up to two thousand people.

Indonesia’s participation in the 2020 Dubai Expo is one of its commitments as part of the global community and the world economy.

Through the event that unites 192 countries, Indonesia has the opportunity to strengthen its role among other nations in the world, Minister Lutfi emphasized.
