Tomorrow (15 September), Phitsanulok Province will hold a by-election for Constituency 1 MP. Although this election is seen as a test of strength between two political poles, the Election Commission chairman said that so far the atmosphere is good and there have been no complaints of election fraud.
Mr. Ittiporn Boonprakong, the chairman of the Election Commission, said after observing the receipt of ballot boxes and election equipment that everything went smoothly. Officials from each unit came to receive election equipment since morning.
Looking ahead to tomorrow’s vote count, each polling station will take about 1 to 1.5 hours because each polling station has 100-200 people exercising their rights. It won’t take long, and it is expected that the unofficial results will be known around 2-3 p.m.
In this regard, there were no complaints in the election, which is considered a good thing in the by-election. However, the EC has prepared inspectors and assistants and is ready to take action immediately if the
re are complaints.
The latest data on eligible voters in Constituency 1, Phitsanulok, most of whom are in Mueang District, shows that there are 138,705 eligible voters and 208 polling stations.
