Jakarta (ANTARA) – Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah asked Indonesian students who have finished their education abroad to return to Indonesia to develop the country according to their respective competencies.”Lately, there have been many Indonesian students who change citizenship to live and work abroad,” she said in her official statement here on Sunday. While delivering remarks as a speaker at a seminar on the theme “Return to Home Country After Graduating” held here on Sunday by the Overseas Indonesian Students Association Alliance (OISAA), she noted that opportunities for OISAA members to work in various countries are becoming wider. However, Fauziyah admitted her concern on hearing that some Indonesian scholarship recipients are reluctant to return to Indonesia. Meanwhile, she assessed that the government had made efforts to improve welfare in all fields, including employment and education, to encourage people to participate in the country’s development. “All of this is done by the government so that the nation’s best talents abroad want to return to help develop the country,” she remarked.
