Bangkok: The Ministry of Agriculture held a ceremony to honor the grace of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. The event, led by the Minister of Agriculture, aimed to commemorate her royal contributions and included the signing of a book of condolences. The Minister emphasized the importance of continuing her aspirations for the benefit of the country and its people.
According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompow presided over the ceremony. He was joined by Mr. Nares Thamrongtippayakun, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives; Mr. Vinaroj Sapphasongsuk, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives; and other senior executives, civil servants, and staff from the Ministry.
During the ceremony, the Minister presented a wreath and signed the condolence book before Her Majesty’s portrait. This was followed by a minute of silence to express condolences and acknowledge her contributions to the Thai people.
Lt. Col. Thammanat highlighted Her Majesty’s role as a model of dedication, particularly in improving the lives of farmers across the nation. He urged the Ministry of Agriculture to continue working for the people with dedication and honesty, in line with Her Majesty’s initiatives.
The Deputy Prime Minister also encouraged civil servants and officials to support the continuation of royal initiatives in agriculture. The aim is to ensure the Ministry’s work benefits the people and contributes to the sustainable development of the country’s agricultural sector.
