Mother of Child Actor Seeks Justice After Son Assaulted by Senior Student at School.

Pak Chong: The mother of a child actor has filed a complaint with the Crime Suppression Division following an assault on her son by a senior student at his school. Despite three months having passed since the incident, there has been no significant progress in the case.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Katrina, 37, reported that her 14-year-old son, a child actor referred to as L, was physically assaulted by a 15-year-old senior student. The altercation occurred in the school bathroom on August 2, 2024, where the senior student punched L in the face and mouth multiple times, resulting in injuries that required 14 stitches. The attack not only disrupted L’s ability to work on a drama project but also led to a financial penalty of 150,000 baht for failing to meet his commitments.

Ms. Katrina expressed her frustration over the lack of progress in the investigation by Pak Chong Police Station. She noted that while the senior student involved was dismissed from school after the incident, no consequences were f
aced by the approximately 10 other students who recorded and cheered during the assault. The family of the accused senior student has reportedly refused to offer compensation, suggesting instead that the case be taken to court.

The child actor, L, acknowledged having previous conflicts with the senior student, which escalated on the day of the incident. Despite attempting to defend himself, L was unable to effectively retaliate due to a pre-existing leg injury.
