Beijing: ‘Piew’ Ajcharaporn Kongyot and ‘Pan’ Piyanuch Pannoy have expressed their readiness to confront Belgium in the upcoming Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2025 match, following their recent defeat to Poland. The Thai national volleyball team, currently ranked 13th globally, is keen on addressing their previous errors to improve in the next face-off.
According to Thai News Agency, the Thai team faced a challenging debut in the first week of the 2025 Women’s Volleyball Nations League held in Beijing, China. They were defeated by Poland, ranked 6th in the world, in straight sets with scores of 22-25, 24-26, and 22-25. This loss led to a decrease of 2.69 ranking points for Thailand, while Poland gained the same amount, marking Thailand’s fifth defeat to Poland in their last six encounters.
Team captain ‘Piew’ Ajcharaporn Kongyot and teammate ‘Pan’ Piyanuch Pannoy acknowledged the team’s performance and expressed their commitment to refining their strategies ahead of their next game. They are optimistic about their upcoming match against Belgium, scheduled for today at 2:00 p.m. Thailand time.
