Pipe Bombs Target Two Convenience Stores in Yala

Yala: Two pipe bombs were thrown at two convenience stores in Thanto District, Yala Province, at approximately the same time. Reporters reported that on the evening of September 16th, the radio center at Than To Police Station in Yala Province received a report from the commander of the 441st Border Patrol Police Task Force Company that two assailants, riding a motorcycle, threw a pipe bomb at a convenience store on Highway 410 (Yala-Betong) in Than To Subdistrict, Than To District, Yala Province. Initially, no one was injured or killed, but the store’s windows, belongings, and a car parked in front of the store were damaged. CCTV footage captured the attackers.

According to Thai News Agency, just before approximately 7:29 PM, another similar incident was reported. A perpetrator threw a pipe bomb at a minimart in Ban Nang Krachae, Village No. 5, Than To Subdistrict, Than To District, Yala Province. Police, military, and administrative officials cordoned off both locations to await the arrival of EOD officers and Forensic Science Center 10 in Yala to thoroughly examine and collect evidence at the scene today (September 17) to gather clues and track down the perpetrators.
