“Prasertpong” made a statement in response to “Anutin”, believing that the people would decide whether he was lying or not, confirming that he actually met him in front of the parliament room, and took a photo with him, but deleted it. He asked back whether this kind of retort to fellow MPs was unethical or not, and do not interpret that I am accusing you again.
Prasertpong Sornnuwat, MP for the Prachachon Party, said that he was glad that today the issues he discussed in the budget of the Ministry of Public Health had been addressed. At least, it made Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party and former Minister of Public Health, as well as the MP for Krabi Province from the Bhumjaithai Party, come out to give a press conference, which had some issues that needed to be given additional facts. For example, when Anutin stated that he did not know him, he confirmed that in the previous parliament session, he met Anutin in front of the parliament meeting room and brought up the issues of the people
of Krabi Province regarding the public health system to inform him. Anutin told him to write a document, which he drafted and handed over to Anutin immediately. He viewed this matter as not interfering because it was the suffering of the people who had complained, so it should be presented to the Minister of Public Health at that time. However, it was okay that Anutin said he did not accept the document, and he asked to take a photo with Anutin as a souvenir. After that, he never had the chance to talk to him again.
“Even though I don’t have the photo that I said I took with Mr. Anutin, I posted it on Facebook. I tried to find it, but I probably deleted that post because I posted that we came to do our duty in a win-win manner, and the people of Krabi benefited,” said Mr. Prasertpong.
Mr. Prasertpong said that they personally did not know each other and had never spoken to each other. As for Mr. Anutin saying that he did not know him, it was possible because they had only met that one time. They had not met
each other since.
‘If you say that I am unethical or that MPs must have ethics, I still insist that my performance of duties was in accordance with my duties and was correct. In the debate in the House of Representatives, I questioned the Speaker of the House of Representatives and did not intend to slander or defame. I did not confirm that I defamed my three fellow MPs from Krabi because I believe that my debate was to benefit the people of Krabi, Ranong, and Phang Nga, who truly lack public health personnel. If civil servants listen to my debate and have the opportunity to make corrections and changes, they have many opportunities to do so. I confirm that if you accuse me of being unethical, it is unlikely. However, at the same time, may the response of fellow MPs and Mr. Anutin fall under this category? This is a question, and do not interpret it as me accusing them again,’ said Mr. Prasertpong.
Mr. Prasertpong confirmed that the public health system in the Andaman coast, especially Krabi, Ranong and Pha
ng Nga provinces, has shortcomings. Even in Phuket, a province of tourism, the quality of life in terms of medical treatment is still insufficient, so this issue needs to be discussed.
Mr. Prasertpong insisted that he would perform his duties as an opposition party straightforwardly. There would be no quarreling to the death, and he believed that the people would be able to decide whether he was telling the truth or lying. Therefore, he came to confirm the fact that he had met Mr. Anutin in the parliamentary room. An important issue that all political parties must think about together is political ethics, which is a problem for all parties. It should be raised as a matter of discussion rather than being an issue of accusation.
