PTT Moves Forward with the “Swim for Life” Project

Rayong: Teachers and parents who took young people to participate in the “Swim for Life” project thanked PTT Public Company Limited for organizing this excellent project to reduce the rate of drowning deaths among children nationwide.

According to Thai News Agency, PTT Public Company Limited, in collaboration with the Aquatics Association of Thailand, organized the “Swim for Life” project for 2025, teaching swimming skills to youth nationwide, such as keeping their eyes open underwater, diving, holding their breath, and floating, to reduce the death rate from drowning. On Sunday, September 21, the closing ceremony was held with the target youth group in Wang Chan District, Rayong Province. The event was facilitated by the use of the swimming pool and staff from the Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC), an institute for developing young researchers to advance the development of future industries, supported by the PTT Group. The Swim for Life project in this area offers training every Saturday and Sunday from August 23rd to September 21st. Coach Tuk, Mr. Thanawit Thosakul, Director of the Aquatics Association of Thailand, hopes that the Swim for Life project will continue to help underprivileged children nationwide sur
vive drowning, a silent threat to Thai society.

The 2025 “Swim for Life” project is scheduled to run from August to November. This year’s event aims to reach over 6,000 youth in 70 locations across Thailand. Teachers and parents of 110 students, aged 7-13, from schools in Wang Chan District, Rayong Province, and six surrounding schools-Ban Tha Sao School, Ban Yup Ta Neng School, Ban Nong Muang School, Ban Bueng Takad School, Ban Chum Saeng School, and Kamnoetwit School-are participating in this project. They express their gratitude to the generous adults who organized this wonderful project.

The “Swim for Life” project, which began in 2019, has so far enrolled 21,202 participants from 24 provinces nationwide. The project aims to raise awareness about water safety and sustainably reduce the drowning death rate among Thai youth.
