Bangkok: The Textile Museum is open for free admission and is crowded with people. People dressed in black enjoyed the beauty of the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, which was packed throughout the day. Admission is free to the public at this time.
According to Thai News Agency, at the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles at the Ratsadakorn Phiphat Hall in the Grand Palace, Thai people, wearing black, continuously come to admire the beauty of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother’s royal attire. During this period, the museum is open to the public for free, with over 1,000 visitors per day. Inside the museum, there is an exhibition called “Thai Dress: From the Royal Court to Royal Preferences”, displaying all 8 styles of royal Thai clothing, and “Siriraj Phastra Boromarajini Nath”, displaying international-style royal clothing tailored from Thai fabrics from 1960 to 2000. People who visit the exhibition rooms are impressed and delighted.
The Textile Museum also organized a Thai fabric stamping activity on commemorative paper. Eight Thai fabric stamps were prepared, including the Pikun flower pattern, the Yong pattern, the Eight Petals pattern, etc., as well as the patterns of fabrics representing all 76 provinces of Thailand. People who came to participate in the stamping activity at various points until all were complete.
The Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Ratsadakorn Phiphat Hall in the Grand Palace.
