The Treasury Department moves forward to transfer ten thousand baht to vulnerable groups.

The Treasury Department has transferred money to 4.5 million state welfare cardholders since 4 am today, sending money to vulnerable groups to stimulate the grassroots economy.

Mr. Jirayu Huangsap, Public Relations Advisor to the Prime Minister, revealed that Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, has received a progress report on the economic stimulus project for 2024 through state welfare cardholders and disabled persons. The money has been transferred to vulnerable groups, namely state welfare cardholders whose ID card numbers end with 1-2-3, totaling 4.5 million people, which has been completed since 4:00 a.m. today. Most of the people who received the money used it to buy necessary consumer goods, such as rice. Some used the money to repair or spend on their children. Meanwhile, some elderly people saved it for travel expenses or health expenses, which is in line with the government’s intention to use the money for vulnerable groups.

“This increase in money in the system to stimulate the economy
reflects the government’s policy on stimulating the economy through the 2024 economic stimulus project through state welfare cardholders and the disabled (the project) has truly benefited the people, especially low-income earners and vulnerable groups, which will have a positive effect on the local and grassroots economy in line with the government’s goals and in line with the project’s goals,” Mr. Jirayu emphasized.

For tomorrow, money will be transferred to approximately 4.51 million people with state welfare cards whose national ID numbers end in 4-7 and whose national ID numbers end in 8-9 on September 30, 2024.
