Typhoon Trami Threatens Vietnam’s Central Coast, Officials Urge Preparedness

HANOI: Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has called for a proactive response to the imminent threat of Typhoon Trami, which is advancing toward Vietnam’s central coastline. The typhoon, the sixth to impact the East Sea this year, has intensified after passing over Luzon island in the Philippines, and is currently packing winds up to Level 9, with gusts reaching Level 11. It is expected to strengthen further over the next 24 to 48 hours.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the National Centre for Hydrometeorological Forecasting has issued warnings that Typhoon Trami will continue its westward trajectory, potentially affecting both offshore and coastal regions from Ha Tinh to Binh Dinh between October 27 and 29. The authorities have emphasized the importance of preparedness to mitigate potential damage and ensure public safety as the storm approaches.
