WATERLOO, Ontario, Aug. 10, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Teledyne is pleased to announce its Sapera Vision Software Edition 2021-07<\/u><\/a> is now available. Sapera\u2122 Vision Software from Teledyne DALSA offers field proven image acquisition, control, image processing and artificial intelligence functions to design, develop and deploy high-performance machine vision applications.<\/p>\n

The new upgrades to the Sapera Vision Software include enhancements to its AI training graphical tool Astrocyte\u2122\u00a0and the image processing and AI libraries tool Sapera Processing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to introduce continual learning to the Astrocyte package. This helps improve the accuracy of a classifier \u2018on the field\u2019 by training only the samples that fail, without having to retrain from scratch,\u201d said Bruno M\u00e9nard, Software Director for Teledyne\u2019s vision solutions group. \u201cAstrocyte now includes a new anomaly detection called \u2018pixel-level anomaly detection\u2019. This new algorithm is much more robust and precise than the previous one. It also has the ability to generate heatmaps at runtime,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

Sapera Vision Software is ideal for applications such as surface inspection on metal plates, location and identification of hardware parts, detection and segmentation of vehicles and noise reduction on x-ray medical images.<\/p>\n
