Nawamin: Police have arrested a 28-year-old man who broke into a bank in the Nawamin area alone, and found scissors hidden in his bag. He confessed that he had committed the crime many times before.
According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage from a bank’s Nawamin branch shows a man breaking into a desk drawer and searching through the items he wanted. After getting the items, he walked down from the second floor of the bank before fleeing towards Soi Nawamin 103 at approximately 1:20 a.m. yesterday (July 1).
From the incident, a good citizen who saw it reported it to the Lat Phrao Police Station, who were able to track down and arrest Mr. Nattawut, 28 years old, the perpetrator, while he was sleeping at the bus stop sign at the entrance to Soi Nawamin 89.
Police searched him and found a pair of orange-handled scissors hidden in his pants pocket. Mr. Nattawut admitted to breaking a sliding glass door to steal the scissors from the bank. He has committed the crime many times in many places, including fried chicken restaurants and restaurants. He mostly steals tips from employees. Police initially charged him with theft at night, trespassing at night, and property damage.
