Sisaket: The 2nd Army Region Commander, Lt. Gen. Boonsin Phadklang, visited Phu Makhuea in Kantharalak District, emphasizing the importance of vigilance among troops and leading the singing of the Thai national anthem.
According to Thai News Agency, Lt. Gen. Boonsin, Commander of the 2nd Army Area, arrived at Task Force 1, Suranaree Force, at 5:00 PM on August 5, 2015. He inspected the area, encouraging the soldiers stationed there to remain vigilant in their duties to protect national sovereignty.
During his visit, three monks from a nearby temple presented amulets to Lt. Gen. Boonsin, offering encouragement and blessings for the safety of all soldiers. The Commander was briefed on the current situation in the Phu Makhuea area, stressing the importance of caution and maintaining good health while performing their duties.
Lt. Gen. Boonsin took the opportunity to replace the existing Thai flag with a larger one and led the troops in singing the national anthem atop the summit of Phu Makhuea. Before concluding his visit, he distributed consumer goods to the soldiers and posed for photographs with them.
