Bangkok: 80,000 shops have registered for the “Half-Half Plus” scheme, with hundreds of thousands of applicants showing interest in the project. The Half-Half Plus Project, which opened for merchant registration on October 15, 2025, has seen significant participation from merchants across the country. Mr. Ekniti Nitithanpraphas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, along with executives and officials from the Ministry of Finance and Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, visited merchants at the market behind the Ministry of Finance to promote the project. The registration process in various areas was lively, indicating strong interest from merchants.
According to Thai News Agency, as of 9:00 a.m. on October 16, 2025, a total of 79,736 stores have successfully registered to participate in the project, including 62,276 existing stores and 17,460 new stores. Additionally, 107,457 stores are currently in the application process. Merchants who meet the project’s criteria can register until December 19, 2025. For those who participated in the Half-Half Phase 5 project, updating the “Tung Ngern” application is necessary. If eligible, a “Kon La Khrueng Plus” button will appear in the application to confirm participation.
Merchants who do not see the “Kon La Khrueng Plus” button need to submit a new application. New merchants can register at Krungthai Bank branches or booths set up by the Ministry of Interior and Krungthai Bank. Verification by government officials is part of the process, especially for those who have not participated in previous phases. However, certain merchants, such as public transport operators with driver’s licenses and Blue Flag shops, can bypass this step if their information is already verified by the Ministry of Finance.
Interested parties can begin registration by installing the “Pao Tang” application and verifying their G-Wallet identity. Registration will be open from October 20, 2025, to October 26, 2025, from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, until the quota of 20 million is reached or the eligibility limit of 44 billion baht is met. Further details will be announced in due course.
For more information on the project, participants can visit the official project website or contact the Help Center for inquiries and support. The Fiscal Policy Office is also available for additional project information during business hours.
