A 22-wheel trailer truck driver fell asleep and crashed into 7 parked cars on the side of the road, completely destroying them.

A 28-year-old man was driving a 22-wheel trailer truck carrying garbage from Bangkok to Phanom Sarakham District, Chachoengsao Province. He fell asleep at the wheel, lost control of the vehicle, and crashed into 7 parked cars on the side of the road, causing total damage.

Yesterday (11 September), Saen Phuda Police Station in Chachoengsao Province received a report that a 22-wheel truck carrying garbage from Bangkok heading to Phanom Sarakham District had lost control and crashed into a car parked on the side of the road on rural highway Chor Chor 3001 Chachoengsao-On Nut, heading towards Highway 314 at the Prawet Intersection (Chachoengsao-Bang Pakong). Police rushed to inspect the scene of the accident.

At the scene, a 22-wheel trailer truck with two sections, loaded with wet garbage, was found to have crashed into a 6-wheel closed-van truck parked on the side of the road, causing the truck to spin and block the traffic lane. In addition, a gray Toyota sedan was crushed almost completely by the rear of t
he 6-wheel closed-van truck.

On the side of the 6-wheeled closed van that was pressed against the first sedan, there was a green Nissan sedan that was crushed by the truck. In addition, there was a gray motorcycle that was hit until the front was more than half destroyed. Further away in front of the 22-wheeled trailer truck, there were 2 more damaged cars. One was a white Mitsubishi sedan lying on its side with the undercarriage stuck to the front of the trailer truck. Another was a gray Isuzu pickup truck that was hit until the back of the pickup truck was slightly damaged.

There were also stalls selling grilled sausages, grilled meats and fermented pork on the side of the road that were swept away with their belongings scattered, but no one was injured in the incident, except for the driver of the trailer truck who suffered a small cut on his left leg.

Mr. Rachen, 37 years old, the driver of the trailer truck, said that at the time of the accident he fell asleep and did not know what happened after that
. When he regained consciousness, it was found that the trailer truck he was driving had crashed into other cars, causing complete damage. He himself was injured, with one wound on his left leg.

The news team went to talk to Mr. Samroeng, 58 years old, the owner of the black Toyota Corolla sedan, who said that he had just bought the car for 40,000 baht and was about to go home, so he stopped to eat noodles first. While he was eating, he suddenly saw his sedan vanish in the blink of an eye. He guessed that the car definitely could not be repaired because it was completely damaged.

Police revealed that the trailer truck was initially insured. As for the damages, they have to wait for the insurance company to negotiate compensation for all victims again.
