A Mathayom 1 female student drowned in the sea after the school took her on a field trip to Rayong.


A private school in Nakhon Ratchasima Province took students on a field trip to Rayong Province. A Mathayom 1 female student was sucked into the sea by a wave while playing in the water and died. The parents are deeply saddened by the loss of their only daughter.

Facebook page “Je Moi V+” posted a message “Again? A private school in Korat took children on a field trip to Rayong. One drowned. The parents’ only child. I’m sorry,” before updating that “The child who died from drowning in Rayong was born just one day before the tragic incident of the Uthai Thani field trip bus. The child did not die immediately. Rescuers were taken to the hospital, but the child’s condition deteriorated, so the family decided to remove life support.”

Reporters went to Wat Si Sa La Leing in Tambon Ban Mai, Amphoe Mueang, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, where the funeral ceremony for the deceased Mathayom 1 student was held. They received information that the girl was the only daughter and an active artist. She had previously travel
ed on a school field trip since September 30 to Laem Mae Phim Beach in Tambon Kram, Amphoe Klaeng, Rayong Province. Before the incident, the girl went to play in the water with her friends, while several teachers looked after her on the beach. But suddenly, a wave rolled and quickly sucked her into the sea. The teachers and friends rushed to help her, gave her first aid, and took her to the hospital. At that time, the girl choked on water and lost consciousness. Her pulse had stopped. Doctors tried their best to help her, but her condition did not improve. Then, on the evening of October 1, the parents decided to have the doctors remove her life support and brought her body to perform religious rites on October 2.
