A police report has been filed against a ‘Polish woman’ who threatened to bomb a Thai Vietjet flight.


CAAT says it has filed a complaint against a Polish woman who threatened to bomb a Thai Vietjet flight.

From the case where news was reported that Thai Vietjet did not take legal action against the Polish passenger who made a bomb threat on flight VZ961, Danang-Suvarnabhumi route on 26 September 2024, which is a bomb threat at an airport or on an aircraft, which is an act that violates the Act on Certain Offenses Against Aviation B.E. 2558, Section 22

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has investigated the facts and found that a complaint has been filed against the perpetrator. The aircraft controller or pilot on that flight filed the complaint, so it was not the airline, which is a legal entity, as reported in the news. The police have prosecuted the perpetrator for reporting or sending information that is known to be false, and that such information is a cause or likely to cause panic among those at the airport or those on the aircraft during the flight, according to the Act on Certain Offen
ces Against Air Navigation B.E. 2558, Section 22, which carries a penalty of imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding 200,000 baht, or both. If such action causes a danger to the safety of the aircraft during the flight, the perpetrator shall be liable to imprisonment from 5 to 15 years or a fine from 200,000 to 600,000 baht, or both.

Prohibited words that should not be spoken both at the airport and on the plane, such as

: – Bomb

– Weapons and dangerous objects, guns, guns or fire arms

– Terrorism

– Serious epidemics

CAAT therefore recommends that you should not say these forbidden words, even when joking with friends or with officers, because it may cause others to feel uncomfortable, panic, or misunderstand, which may lead to chaos, and the speaker may be prosecuted according to the law.
