According to Thai News Agency, Abhisit took to Facebook to thank the Democrat Party after its extraordinary general meeting, where members voted for his election as the new leader. In his post, Abhisit stated, “Thank you to the Democrats for giving me the opportunity to return to work and serve the people.” This marks a significant return for Abhisit within the party’s leadership ranks.
