Agape Power Ministry Commemorates 25 Years with Thanksgiving Service

Accra: The Agape Power Ministry at Anyaa in Accra has concluded its week-long 25th anniversary celebrations with a thanksgiving service. The service brought together congregants, invited ministers of the gospel, and well-wishers to reflect on the church's journey, which leaders described as sustained by God's mercy over 25 years.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Emmanuel Tobin, Member of Parliament for Anyaa-Sowutuom Constituency, congratulated the church leadership and members for reaching what he called a 'worthy milestone.' He noted that 25 years of continuous ministry demonstrated commitment, discipline, and divine guidance. The MP, who was the special guest of honour, expressed optimism that the church would continue to grow and expand its influence.

He also commended Agape Power Ministry for its impact in shaping moral values and promoting social responsibility, urging the church to remain focused on preaching the gospel, building lives, and serving the community. Mr. Tobin stressed that churches true to their calling play a critical role in national development and encouraged the leadership to deepen outreach and sustain the ministry's guiding values.

Reverend Appau Baffour, Leader and Head Pastor of Resurrection Power Expectation Ministry and guest preacher, delivered a sermon on the theme 'Great is Thy Faithfulness,' based on Lamentations 3:22-23. He highlighted loyalty and obedience as essential virtues in Christian discipleship, drawing on the biblical account of Ruth to show how faithfulness and submission to God's will could lead to lasting success and divine favour.

Rev. Baffour emphasized that God's mercy was the foundation of hope for the future, quoting 1 Peter 2:10. 'Twenty-five years in the life of the church has been achieved by the mercy of God,' he said, adding that with hope anchored in God's faithfulness, there is no reason to fear the future. He encouraged the congregation to embrace humility, gratitude, and thanksgiving as acts of faith that position believers for greater blessings.

Rev. Chris Anim, Head Pastor of Agape Power Ministry, reflected on the church's journey, expressing gratitude for God's mercies that had carried the ministry from humble beginnings to its present state.
