Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Jakarta provincial government is optimistic that the Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum Summit would boost the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Jakarta’s coastal regions, such as the Seribu Islands.”The AIS Summit has great potential to (contribute) to developing marine tourism in Indonesia, including in Jakarta’s Seribu Islands,” Head of the Jakarta Industry, Trade, Co-operatives, Small and Medium Enterprises Office Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo told ANTARA here on Saturday. ccording to Allo, implementation of the AIS Summit will contribute to marine tourism in the area that will move the economic wheels in coastal regions and support the local MSMEs. The AIS Forum Summit will be held on October 10-11, 2023, in Bali, with the theme of “Fostering Collaboration, Enabling Innovation for Our Ocean and Our Future.” Related to the theme, the forum will focus on discussing three aspects, namely blue economy development, climate change, and strengthening solidarity between archipelagic and island states.
