Bangkok: AIS is set to broadcast the "Chang FA Cup 2025/26," Thailand's premier knockout football tournament renowned for its intense competition and the potential for upsets. The tournament, noted for the emergence of "Jack the Giant Slayers," will be available for live viewing from the initial qualifying stages through to the final match. According to Thai News Agency, the Chang FA Cup, established in 1974, is one of Thailand's most enduring football tournaments. It remains accessible to all Thai football teams and is famous for its history of underdog victories, where smaller teams have outperformed larger ones. The winning team is awarded 5 million baht and a place in the AFC Champions League. Ms. Rungtip Jarusiripipat, Head of AIS Entertainment Business, emphasized the tournament's significance in Thai culture, noting its popularity and the excitement generated by its knockout format. She highlighted the positive impact on local communities when smaller teams host larger teams. The 2025/26 edition will feature live broadcasts from the qualifying rounds, offering fans the chance to follow every team through the AIS PLAY application. The tournament will commence with the first qualifying round on September 24, 2025, followed by the second qualifying round on October 1, 2025. The competition will continue with the top 64 teams, including all 16 teams from Thai League 1, competing between October 29-30, 2025, culminating in the final on May 31, 2026. AIS encourages Thai football fans to support their teams creatively by viewing the matches through licensed channels. The tournament can be watched for free on all networks, with live coverage available on AIS PLAY, AIS PLAYBOX, Smart TV, Android TV, and Apple TV.
