“Ajarn Chalermchai” opens Wat Rong Khun for disaster victims to park their cars.

Special Operations Unit Yakkharat 49 of Provincial Police Region 5 went to help people affected by floods, while ‘Ajarn Chalermchai’ opened Wat Rong Khun for flood victims to park their cars.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army led troops to help people trapped in residential buildings continuously. The SEAL unit is on a mission to help people around the clock and is searching for victims who may be trapped in their homes and unable to get out through the floodwaters to seek help from officials.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Armed Forces has worked with the troops in difficult situations, boosting the morale of the personnel.

Last night (11 Sept), the SEAL unit carried out a midnight operation to help elderly people, women, and a 3-month-old child who were starving and waiting for help after a flash flood. They had to wade through mud for about 2-3 kilometers until they were successful.

In Mae Sai District, water police officers, officers from the 37th Military Circle and the Ruamkat
anyu Foundation went to the area to help a hill tribe family carrying a small child. They were able to get through the floodwaters and into a rescue vehicle. Although the water level had receded, it was still very fast, making the rescue quite difficult. Both villagers, hill tribe people and children were safe.

The Yakkharat 49 Special Operations Unit of the Provincial Police Region 5 in the northern region helped people who were affected. In addition to braving the water currents, they also braved the pouring rain.

The Por Tek Tung Foundation rescue team entered Chiang Rai Province with equipment, forklifts, boats, and a mobile kitchen to quickly help and evacuate people to safety.

Ajarn Chalermchai opens Wat Rong Khun for parking to avoid flooding

Ajarn Chalermchai Kositpipat, a national artist from Chiang Rai, released a clip announcing that he has opened Wat Rong Khun in Tambon Pa O Don Chai, Mueang Chiang Rai District, to allow flood victims to park their cars. He will arrange for his disciples and s
ecurity guards to guard the flood victims’ cars to ensure their safety.

There are 2 parking spaces inside Wat Rong Khun, which are spacious: inside the parking lot of Wat Rong Khun, which can accommodate hundreds of cars, and another one beside the temple. The flooding in Chiang Rai this time is not normal or at the provincial level, but it must be in the name of the government, which should allocate a budget to help and provide assistance because houses were severely damaged. I am worried that when the water recedes in the next few days, many houses will not have money to repair. Therefore, there must be a budget to provide assistance. I would like to ask the new government to help the people of Chiang Rai because helping each other within the province is not enough. We would like to send encouragement to our brothers and sisters in Chiang Rai and our northern region, and send encouragement to the officers and volunteers of all agencies.
