The Dharma path to Wat Tham Sung Doi Sawan, Ban Kaeng Subdistrict, Na Kae District, Nakhon Phanom Province is a winding path through Phu Phan Noi Forest, Phu Pha Yon National Park, for almost 5 kilometers in the middle of a lush forest. The villagers believe that this is a sacred land and has historical significance because it used to be a meditation site for a famous forest monk, ‘Luang Pu Man Phurithatto’. Later, Luang Pu Son Khampee Yano, known as the Bodhisattva of Phu Phan Mountain, a disciple of Luang Pu Man, came to develop it into a meditation site at Wat Tham Sung Doi Sawan, until it became well-known among the religious, especially during the Buddhist Lent festival, when many peopl

Wat Tham Sung Doi Sawan, in addition to being a religious tourism destination, is also an unseen natural tourist destination of Nakhon Phanom. The path up the mountain is 5 kilometers long, but it is easy to travel. Luang Pu Son also developed and built an ancient wooden balcony on a high cave near the cliff to be used as a place for meditation. There is also a wooden sermon hall on the high mountain.
