Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, expressed his satisfaction in serving as part of the opposition, revealing his long-standing acquaintance with Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit. The two political figures, who both attended the same vocational college, have known each other for quite some time.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin addressed a recent incident involving Thanathorn, chairman of the Progressive Movement and former leader of the Future Forward Party. During an appearance on the Exclusive Talk program ’55 Years of Nation, Breaking the Deadlock in Thailand,’ Thanathorn mentioned a phone conversation with Anutin, admitting it occurred due to a mistaken dial. Anutin confirmed the mishap, explaining that it was a missed call via the Line application, which prompted him to return the call. Thanathorn then acknowledged the error, humorously stating, ‘Oops, I pressed the wrong number. I’m fine.’

In response to questions about his familiarity with Thanathorn’s contact number, Anutin clarified that it was a call through Line and mentioned that their conversations were infrequent. He also disclosed that both he and Thanathorn attended the Capital Market Academy, albeit in different classes, in 2008. Their acquaintance is not new, stemming from their shared educational background.

When asked about potential future collaboration in politics, Anutin remarked that their current roles as opposition parties involve working together. He conveyed a lighthearted attitude towards political engagement, stating, ‘In any case, I am having fun.’

Further inquiries about his experience working with the People’s Party elicited a positive response from Anutin. He expressed contentment in his role as a member of the House of Representatives within the opposition, emphasizing the significance and pride associated with being an MP. Anutin reiterated that regardless of circumstances, being chosen as an MP is paramount.
