Ubon Ratchathani: ‘Anutin’ ordered the governors of 7 provinces along the Thai-Cambodian border to urgently inspect the number of bomb shelters in the area to prepare for the safety of the people.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Traisuree Traisaranakul, Secretary to the Minister of Interior and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, revealed that from the visit to Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to inspect the readiness and encourage officials and people in the area bordering Cambodia on 8 June 2015 and received various information in the area. The latest order has been given to Mr. Arsit Sampantharat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, to coordinate with the governors of Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket, Surin, Buriram, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi, and Trat to urgently inspect the number of bomb shelters in the entire area, by surveying how many bomb shelters are still in good condition, how many bomb shelters are damaged and need budget support to repair, and surveying the need to build additional bomb shelters in the area, specifying the locations and budget estimates that need support, and reporting to
the Ministry of Interior by June 10, 2025. This is to ensure public safety and prepare for any future situations.
