The Pheu Thai Party has proposed that the People's Party support their candidate, Mr. Chaikasem Nitisiri, instead of Anutin Charnvirakul for the prime ministerial position. In a strategic move, Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, who is acting as Prime Minister, canceled a Police Commission meeting to personally negotiate with the People's Party.
