Buriram: The 2nd Army has ordered the closure of the trade relaxation point at Chong Sai Taku, Tambon Chanthaburi, Amphoe Ban Kruat, Buriram Province, starting from June 21, 2025.
According to Thai News Agency, Army (Special) Order No. 806/2568 mandates the control of opening and closing all types of border crossings along the Thai-Cambodian border for public safety. The Suranaree Force, under the 2nd Army Region, has the authority to manage these border crossings within its jurisdiction. The decision on methods, conditions, or timeframes deemed necessary and appropriate falls under the responsibility of the Suranaree Force.
The closure aims to protect Thailand’s sovereignty and integrity while ensuring the safety of Thai citizens’ lives and property. It also aims to maintain suitability for missions in the border area and uphold national security.
