This win helped Arsenal collect three more points, giving them a full nine points from three matches and moving them up to third place in the table.

The league stage results show Atletico Madrid in 18th place with three points. After the game, Arsenal manager Miguel Arteta praised Swedish striker Victor Yokeres for his performance and contribution to the victory.
