Bangkok: “Athakorn” accepts the Cabinet’s proposal to appoint a new Permanent Secretary of Agriculture, but keeps the name “Winaroj” a secret, saying that we will know soon. Mr. Atthakorn Sirilathayakorn, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, addressed the development regarding the appointment of a new Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Agriculture. This move comes after reports surfaced that Mr. Prayoon Insakul, the current Permanent Secretary, is likely to be transferred to the vacant position of Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. Mr. Sirilathayakorn confirmed that he has completed the necessary approvals.
According to Thai News Agency, there is speculation about Mr. Winaroj Traiphongsuk, the Director-General of the Cooperative Auditing Department, being the potential candidate for the new Permanent Secretary. However, Mr. Atthakorn refrained from confirming this, stating that details will be revealed shortly.
Regarding other appointments and transfers within the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Atthakorn mentioned that future considerations would be made in due course. He emphasized that decisions would be taken gradually, ensuring a thorough evaluation process. Nonetheless, he confirmed that the appointment for the Permanent Secretary position has already been finalized.
