Tokyo: Bew Phuriphon Bunson has secured a spot in the men’s 100m semi-finals at the 2025 World Athletics Championships, emerging as the only Asian athlete to advance in this category.

According to Thai News Agency, Bew Phuriphon achieved fourth place in Heat 4 during the qualifying rounds, clocking in at 10.15 seconds. This performance at the National Stadium of Japan in Tokyo allowed him to progress to the semi-finals based on the time criteria, marking him as one of the three next best qualifiers.

The semi-final race, featuring Bew Phuriphon, is scheduled for today at 6:00 PM Thailand time, where he will compete for a place in the finals.
