Bhumjaithai Party Attends Opposition Whips Meeting for the First Time

Bangkok: Bhumjaithai Party marks its involvement in the opposition whips’ first meeting since its decision to withdraw from the government. Chaichanok Chidchob led a team of five MPs from the party to participate in this significant gathering.

According to Thai News Agency, the meeting commenced at 9.30 am, bringing together the Coordinating Committee of the Opposition Parties. This session marked the initial attendance of the Bhumjaithai Party following its departure from the government coalition. The six attending MPs from the Bhumjaithai Party included Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, MP for Buriram and party secretary, Mr. Phradon Prisananantakul, Mr. Krawee Prisananantakul, MP for Ang Thong, Ms. Nan Bunthida Somchai, MP for Ubon Ratchathani, Mr. Chettha Thaiset, MP for Uthai Thani, and Mr. Worasit Liangprasit, MP for Satun.

The initial phase of the meeting focused on the discussion of the referendum bill draft, which has been pending for 180 days. The objective was to have the House of Representatives confirm the bill as per the draft submitted by the House.
