Bhumjaithai Party Submits Education and Health Volunteer Bills to Parliament

BANGKOK: The Bhumjaithai Party has formally submitted two significant legislative proposals, the Equal Education Act and the Village Health Volunteer Act, to the Thai parliament. The party hopes these drafts will be enacted into law, providing substantial benefits to the public.

According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, who leads the Bhumjaithai Party, together with party MPs, presented the draft bills to Mr. Wan Muhammad Noor Matha, President of the House of Representatives. Mr. Phradon Prisananantakul, Second Deputy Speaker of the House, accepted the submission on behalf of the parliament.

Mr. Anutin emphasized the extensive research and drafting efforts invested by the Bhumjaithai Party in these bills. He expressed confidence in the potential benefits these laws would bring to the nation and its citizens. The draft law concerning village health volunteers aims to address the welfare of over one million volunteers dedicated to public health. The pro
posal includes increasing their monthly service fee from 1,500 baht to 2,000 baht, a suggestion Mr. Anutin made during his tenure as Minister of Public Health.

The Bhumjaithai Party’s analysis revealed that the current compensation for village health volunteers is determined on an annual basis, prompting the need for legislation to guarantee stable compensation. This would allow volunteers to plan their lives without concern for yearly budget cuts.

Regarding the Equal Education Act, Mr. Anutin highlighted the party’s commitment to lifelong education. The proposed law seeks to establish an online educational platform accessible to people of all ages, allowing them to use it as a resource for career development. The Bhumjaithai Party urged the Speaker of the House to expedite the inclusion of these drafts on the legislative agenda for further discussion and consideration.
